eggzact
Visual identity and product packaging
eggzact is a company that sells liquid free range egg products: liquid egg whites, liquid egg yolks and liquid whole eggs. The main purpose of the brand is to provide quality egg products to a public that is aware of the health benefits of eggs and that needs a fast healthy meal, or an easy way of cooking. They position their products as a quality and healthy source of nutritious meals. In addition to other competitors, they also offer liquid egg yolks and liquid whole eggs.
The precise goal of the brand identity project was to find a way to establish a strong shelf presence for the launch of the brand. We set the directions during the briefing stage and cemented the visual direction through a set of mood boards. The creative process started with pen and paper sketches: we tried developing a logo that would be easily recognized as an egg, while also maintaining the liquid aspect of the products.
We developed a visual identity consisting of logo design, typography, colors, icons and patterns and also product packaging design.
Product packaging
Packaging is critical for attracting customers and establishing shelf presence for products that are going to be sold in the supermarkets. Our task was to create three different designs for the company’s products: liquid egg whites, liquid egg yolks and liquid whole eggs.
Instead of using photos of eggs on the packaging (an usual approach), we chose to use the lines of the eggzact logo and bold typography to create a minimalist and distinct design. We decided to distinguish the different products by color. Further, we developed custom icons to the product’s attributes.
Please note that this is a passion project, “eggzact” is a fictional brand built for the sole purpose of this project.
